How does a sprinkler system work?

Sprinkler heads and drip irrigation are connected to valves.

The valves are connected to a water source.

A controller schedules each valve's days, start times, and watering duration.

This is called a program or cycle. The system can incorporate multiple cycles.

Does the irrigation system require maintenance?

Do we service systems we didn't install?
​Yes. We typically carry replacement parts for all types of systems.

How long does it take to install an irrigation system?
​A typical residential system is usually done in 1-3 days.

Will an irrigation system damage my lawn?
Some damage is to be expected. We install the system by pulling the pipe through the ground by
a vibratory plow rather than trenching. It usually takes 2-4 weeks for the lines in the lawn to completely
disappear.

Will my system run when it rains?
No. We install a rain sensor on every system. Also, the newer Wi-Fi enabled controllers are able to
adjust with the weather.

I want to install a new lawn, what is the process for install the system?
The existing lawn should be removed, and new loam should be spread and rough graded. The system
gets installed. Then the landscape will final rake and seed or sod. We come back out to check the
adjustments of the sprinkler heads and aid in the water scheduling.

How much time would we need between getting the estimate and completing the installation?
In the spring and fall, it could take as much as 4-6 weeks. In the summer, it is typically 1-3 weeks.
We recommend planning as much as possible. We can coordinate with your landscape if we have
their contact information.
